Fearless leader
Drawing from our 8+ years of experience running a space in NYC, we focus on helping people build and grow coworking communities through our Organizers Club and growing toolkit of resources.
2015 - present
Led a fundrasiing effort, built the web site, including landing page and WordPress install. Developed a Telescope discussion space to solicit ideas. Responsible for managing the Global Coworking Blog and connected sites.
2008 - 2015
Led the charge to build NYC's first dedicated coworking space.
2012 - 2016
Board member
The NYTM is a 501(c)(6) and the world's largest Meetup.
Founding board member and teacher
Helped architect GDI's growth and taught the inaugural class on HTML and CSS.
Project Manager
Managed web development projects, wrote HTML/CSS, managed AdWords campaigns, and much more.


  • 2015-2016

    Developed community strategy for 312 Main

    A 100,000 square foot project in Vancouver opening in 2017, this project aims to unite the worlds of entrepreneurship with local, underserved communities.

  • 2015-2016

    Developed community strategy for Vi Hub at Bell Works

    Developed community cultivation plan and speaker series for a new coworking space as part of the 2,000,000 square foot redevelopment project.

    Published No More Sink Full of Mugs

    Wrote, layed out, and designed an eBook packed with tips from our experiences running our coworking space in NYC.

  • Jan 2013

    Launched Cotivation

    Initially developed for New Work City, Cotivation has now been packaged up as a program that's taken place in cities around the world.

  • 2013-2015

    Ran IndieCon

    The world's first and only unconference for independent workers, IndieCon took place in Toronto in 2015 and NYC in 2013 and 2014. Designed and built the brand, site, event pages, signage, and other promotional materials.

    Crafted community strategy for the Downtown Project

    Tony Hsieh's ambitious undertaking to reshape downtown Las Vegas, the Downtown Project aspired to become the "coworking capital of the world." If they'd taken more of our initial advice, they may have succeeded by now :-)

    "Founded" Color.xxx

    Created a parody pitch deck to "lampoon tech bubble absurdity" that "won the internet," according to TechCrunch.

    Ran TEDxNWC

    A two-event series with a focus on the shifts happening in media, these were some of the earliest officially-licensed TEDx events to take place anywhere.

    Launched New Work City

    Manhattan's first dedicated coworking space. Community-focused and completely bootstrapped!

    Led BarCampNYC3

    Continuing the tradition of one of the world's most well-renowned and most popular unconferences, we held a sold-out two-day event by and for hundreds of the city's brightes geeky creative minds.

  • Nov 2007

    Launched Coworking Community NYC

    With over 1,900 members, our group has hosted dozens of educational events, happy hours, and social gatherings at our own space as well as many others.
